Things to Do

Allandale’s is a colorful traditional celebration featuring floats and classic cars. Shoal Creek runs through the heart of the neighborhood on its 11-mile journey to Austin’s iconic Lady Bird Lake. The Shoal Creek Trail follows the creek’s path, providing a picturesque pathway for cycling, running, or walking.

The sprawling greenery of Beverly S. Sheffield Park is packed with trails and sports facilities. The park has basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, eight baseball fields, and a pretty pond with two fishing piers. The park also has an aquatic center with an Olympic swimming pool and a smaller kiddie pool. The Olympic pool features 50-meter lap lanes, high diving boards, and a 12-foot diving well. The neighborhood also has multiple playgrounds and sports fields and courts at Gullett Elementary School Playground. Northwest Recreation Center features a gymnasium, fitness studio, and other recreational amenities.
